We don't keep up with that kind of information. Check www.lupus.org and look under find a local chapter. They will have a contact number listed for each group -- however, this is to get info on when the local support groups meet -- I don't know of any call lines offering lupus support.

Folks, If you live in this area and know of any support, please post here so the information can be passed on thru Temple.

Temple, you probably already asked the local hospitals and rheumotologists what they know, other than that and the lupus organization I don't know what else to tell you.

If the person could get online we are here...

As far as "getting her thru the night" maybe there is a local hotline she could call & talk to -- usually listed as suicide or depression hotlines but often they have referral information for other resources.

The GA chapter of lupus org is active, I found this reference from there. Maybe call them? I know they return calls - very active here. www.lupus.org/webmodules/webarticlesnet/templates/georgia_support.aspx?articleid=892&zoneid=135#montgomery

Thank you so, so much, I did call that Tel# and got a real person. I was referred to someone else and left a message. It was said the volume of calls are high so it might take a week before they get back to me. Temple

Hi, I am so excited to tell you I received a call back from Jessie, she gave me more information and it was only a few days after I had called her. I gave her my cousin Add. & phone # in Montgomery, Ala. She sent her info. of pamphlets about 5 and her personal card also for her to call. My cousin let me know she was so, so glad to receive them and so relieved that she could read more of her Lupus condition and could call to talk to someone also. I am just so happy for my cousin, she even sound better as we talked. I had 1st called 202-349-1155 and was transferred to her line and she called me back. Jessie gave me 877-865-8787 which is a chapter in Nashville, Tenn. I can call. I am so grateful for it all, thank you so much. Temple, with lots of blessings and love.

Hi It's me Temple, Thank you again so much for your help. Lynnwood forum Moderator, you started me on this search and the info. was so good and it help me to get even more info. it was just awesome. Aimsgirl16 Forum Moderator, you gave me info. to help me get closer to getting my cousin what she needed. I am so grateful to receive such help from good and caring people like yourselves. I love people and I too love to help people whenever and however I can and prayer is first on my list. By my cousin being able to talk to someone on the phone, telling of her pain and hurt and hearing a response is so personal and moving. It's like being together, then advising on how to deal with situations & circumstances in different ways and how they coped. 1 can feel the caring in 1s voice. Now, If and when my cousin can get online, I will give her the e-mails. I love you all so much, keep up the very good work. Sincerely. Temple.
