Hello everyone,
Ihave a questiion, i have not been dx wit lupus, but i have been dx with autoimmune  chronic idiopathic utercura, which i did test possitive for i am currently on high dose of antihistamines and cycloporin to controll the symptons, i have also been dx with M.E. fo 20 yrs now, they have lowered the doze of the cyclosporin(200mgto100mg)daily as the cyclosporin did in fact but me into the start of kidney failure since lowered bloods are more back to normal, but at a price with more severe symptons back, joints swelling aches/pains everywhere contanst flu-like symptons.

I have neer really believed it is just M.E. causing this condition i have spoke to many M.E. sufferers and have not come across one with my other condition autoimmue prob, but i just try to get on with it, the fatique is a severe prob with any progression with this would be helpful.

many thanks for listening jo8

Hey Jo! welcome to HW!! I just wanted to say I take Cyclosporine 125 mg twice a day (250 daily) and it has helped my bloodwork become a little more "normal" and also has improved my symptoms by 80 percent. Still have the joint pain and kindey issues but the other issues are gone. Maybe since your dose of the cyclo has come down, your blood work will start to show some reason as to why you are having the fatigue and joint issues. I would deffinatly ask to be checked for lupus or even Rhuematoid arthritis (which cyclosporine is also used to treat severe cases)!

Hi Amy.

I am sorry to hear you have lupus, thankyou so much for getting back to me.

I have been tested in the past, but i dont thin i am showing any abnormalies, only recurring anaemia, but doc says that it is quite normal for it to fluctuate with chronic illnesses, the dcs/specialists just say that i havea very complex illness, and try to do the best for me with treating the symptons, but did speak to one lady a few yrs ago who said she was unwell for about 20yrs and having autoimmune idiopathic uteuria, that then she showed possitie for lupus.

I realy do hope this is not the case for me.

Thankyou Jo. x
