Hi all. Just wondering if any of you lupies out there have had bumps/knots on your scalp? I can feel it its like a hard knot that the skin can move over but when I try to look or have someone else look at it we cant see anything.(Haven't had a doctor look at it yet, trying to find a Dermatologist to see)Its been there well over 6 months and it hasn't changed in size etc but sometimes its more tender than others. I didn't bump my head or anything obviously and there's no hair loss where I have the bump. Im just not sure what to make of it. Does anyone else have anything similar? What could it be? Thanks. -Lupie Britt

Hi, I have a similar lump under my eye brow on my left eye, you can actually see it looks like I,ve bumped my head but when you go to feel it, feels like there is nothing there. Have know Idea wha t it is. Had xray showed nothing. Had it for about six months also doesn't seem to be getting any bigger.Guess its just another one of the many mysteries of Lupus

Hi Britt,

I get little sores on my scalp from time to time. When I asked my rheumy about it she said you can get them with flares similar to sores in the mouth or nose. It's all a part of lupus eyes I don't know if this is what you are experiencing but you should get it checked out. Let us know how it goes, take care

Yeah Ive never had anyone be able to see anything in my scalp and this is the only one ive had and its never gone away...even when my lupus was in remission when i was pregnant...?...not sure if that would have an affect on it or not but ive never had it evaluated. I am currently trying to find a dermatologist to go see about this as well as my malar rash. however, the local ones aren't seeing new patients until sept of next yr! So with 2 kids and having to drive an hour or more away is a hassle. Ugh.
