Hi, a friend of mine has recently been diagnosed with sle lupus. Any ideas in how i can help her? Anyone have any experiences with medicines that work?

Hopefully she is under the care of a good rheumatologist. SLE must be monitored and managed to help keep it from progressing
although just about everyone has flares at times. She needs to see the rheumatologist and have bloodwork (labs) done regularly.
If symptoms aren't too severe, her Dr. may have her on plaquenil only. More severe symptoms may require an immunosuppressant
such as imuran, methotrexate, etc... and perhaps prednisone. Everyone is different in how it manifests. Many live with SLE for
years and years and manage it just fine.

Sorry about your friend....Anna stated it the best...we are all different. Just be there for her, no matter what kind of mood she is in or how tired she gets.
