My parents got me a case for Christmas in hopes for a miraculous recovery! They mean well and are truly the greatest! I just started taking it the other night. So far it has brought on a flare-up. I promised I'd stick with it for about a week because it is supposed to have such great results!! My dad is bound and determined to find something to help with the inflammation! My question for all is, has anyone else tried this? What type of results have you had?
Thanks for any and all replies!!
Merry Christmas to all!

Most cases of lupus are treatable with drugs and in some cases a change of diet (anti inflammatory diet) does help some patients feel better.  There are no known alixers that will bring lupus under control.  See a rheumatologist who is experienced with lupus and start a course of treatment if you have not done so already.

If something acts as a trigger and causes a flare...stop taking it.

Stacy,

Be careful with any product that contains any ingredient such as herbals or supplements, that's of course just IMO. If anything, I would just make sure to run the ingred list by your doctor to make sure there are no interactions with your meds or anything like that. Sometimes the littlest thing that we wouldn't think that could do us no harm might make a big impact (read: alf sprouts, echinaca). It might turn out to be okay for you but you may feel better running it by your doctor to be on the safe side. I know about family wanting the best for us, my grandmother did something similar with some supplements she bought me but I made sure to run it by the doctor I just didn't let her know.

Thanks for the advice. My parents gave me a different supplement a while back and I had a bad flareup with that as well. My RA said some supplements and vitamins can cause flareups. To be careful. I've been feeling pretty lousy for about 2 weeks now. Mostly in my chest and oddly my esophagus feels very inflamed. Not too sure about this. Thanks and have a great New Years!!
