Hey Everyone!! We did it smilewinkgrin ! We made it through another busy holiday season!! How are we doing from it? Is their any stories you want to tell that was a highlight to the holidays??

I had a pretty good Nov-Dec. I had a lotstress on week of christmas. Got a phone call that my mom had a heart attack and they found 2 blocked arteries so they put 2 stents in. While they were putting the stents in, she had another heart attack. So needless to say, it was a very scary time for my family but i am happy to say she is now home and resting and doing much better :)! It has caused a minor flair with all the traveling down to FL each weekend but has deffinatly been worth it! Other than that, I have been put on Mobic, and I seem to be on the right medicine cocktail for me to notice an improvement :)!

I look forward to hearing from you all!!!

Hi! Amy, and everyone,

My mom is 8 and 4 years past heart attacks and stents, and doing well. One ongoing worry is her below normal weight and getting her to eat something nutritious. My attempts just end up fattening ME up tongue Glad your mom is home and recovering. Our holidays were tough because of all the fun, and it helped that I really did say often, "if I do this, I CAN'T do that" and stuck to it. My favorite time was watching my daughters make cookies, and me eating them. And then they cleaned up the mess,

Happy New Year hugs,

suetoo

Hi Amy,

I'm sorry you had a rough time this holiday with what happened with your mother. My mother in law had a similar situation this holiday too. Earlier in December she had a heart attack and they went in and put a stent (this was her second one, she has had one already and had a bypass about 10 years ago). Well about one week into her recovery she ended up having a massive heart attack. Turned out the stent collasped (it was the newer model one and her body rejected it) and she was rushed back in, they were able to replace it with the older model and they actually put in another one as well so they did two that time around. She's doing much better now.

I'm glad it all worked out ok, we were all so scared. She has had 4 heart attacks total so far. We are just trying to get her to take care of herself.

Thoughts for your mom that she continues her recovery and to you that you are recovering from your flare. HUGS
