Apparently I have it. Got the blisters on my hands and feet and now I have mouth ulcers and lots of mucus in the back of my throat accompanied with nasea and the big D :(! I got back from urgent care last night and as usual they were not helpful...just trying to get you in and out. They did run a strep test (negative) and told me to drink lots of fluid use some throat numbing stuff and I would be ok in a few days...if not see my PCP. They did say the meds I was on for lupus was probably the culprit

Well, has anyone had this? anything I can do to make the nasty sores less painful? What about the mouth issues? I have been told not to go back to work till Thursday so I can rest and rest some more, which I plan on doing. I just never had heard of this and it puzzels me a bit!!

My children and I have had it quite a few times. Both my daughter and I are getting over it right now. The blisters look a lot like strep and are very painful, but it is just a virus. A flu virus and I can't imagine it being from your meds but I may be wrong. It's a very common childhood virus spread rapidly during flu season.

It last about 5 to 7 days and a lot of times a nice cough accompany's it!! Have no fear though, like all virus's it goes away.. But also like all virus you have to watch for it turning into anything more complicated.. My daughter has asthma and it really did a number on her.

Lots of ibuprofen and throat losingers, and lots of rest....

Good luck and let someone wait on you.. It always makes everything a little better!!

Thanks for the response! When I ment from my meds...I am on immunosuppresants that lower my immune system which make me more susceptable to colds/viruses, etc. 5-7 days huh, wow...that is quite awhile but I guess I should be glad its not anything worse :)! Thanks for sharing your experience and I guess i have 3-5 more days left!!!

Glad to hear you and your daughter are almost over it!!
