Hi Rhonda, like lynnwood, I get it in my toes, but also have had it in my arm as you describe. It was actually radiating down from my neck and shoulder and after painful emg tests determined to be tendonitis. It was never connected to the antibiotic I had taken a month or so earlier called levaquin/tequin for a urinary tract infection, though I'm pretty sure it caused it. The pain was crippling for about
a month, went away, came back in the other arm for about
as long, and then it went away.
I did get xray of my neck and that was helpful and you should get it checked out. Lots of people have arthritis in their necks that pinch nerves and cause weird pain or other sensations, and with special care, it gets better and if it would ever come back, then you would know what to do. They called my "a roaming tendonitis of lupus" though my normal neck exercises helped it.
Hope this helps.
