Hi Everyone,

I just spoke to Barb and she is in the hospital suffering with lung issues.  Her breathing was laboured before, but she has now caught a lung infection to compound things.   We don't know alot at this point except that she is feeling very ill, weak and lightheaded.

Please keep her in your prayers and well wishes.

Take care,

Julia

I was just going to post that. She called me and I got a room phone number but because she's on the heart floor she can't use her cell phone. She said she passed out on her way to the doctors and a neighbor had to take her to the hospital. She's been sick for days. I hate to see her in the hospital but I'm glad she's finally getting help. She said family came up and brought her c-pap so hopefully that will help her tonight. thank you Jill for posting this.

blessings

Hi Everyone,

I just talked to Barb and she is having a blood transfusion (2 units). She is also using a nubulizer 4 times/day to help the lungs. She sends hugs to all, and would like to thank everyone for keeping her in your prayers.

So I just talked to Barb, they moved her to another floor. They had to do another blood transfusion. She's had several in the past 6 months. Apparently she had tests done last night and one came back possitive. She doesn't really know which or for what but they are going to retake her test. I beleive she is thinking she has some type of staff infection. But it could be a problem with how they took the test. She does have a port but they aren't using it so it's possible the infection has to do with her port.

She's really been fighting the illness lately. More so then before.

Her daughters prom is this weekend. and it's looking like she will miss out on seeing her all dressed up for that. She graduates soon. God I hate this disease. It's robs us of so many things.

well that's all i got for now. She's pretty tired so I'll let you know if I hear her next lab results.

please keep her in your prayers

thanks

carol

Barb, I'm thinking good thoughts for you and so sorry you are going through this! Make sure someone takes lots of nice pictures of your daughter's prom for you!!! I wish I could take all this away from you--but I really am praying for your speedy recovery and that the doctors give you the relief and help that you need! Nicki

Oh Barb,

My thoughts and prayers are with you for a very speedy recovery. Maybe your daughter and her date could stop by the hospital to see you before they venture out on their night of fun! Must be bittersweet for her as well.  Thanks Carol for keeping us posted.  Hope everyone is doing well today.

Hugs and Angels,

Lynnette

Barbara Lee has been home from the hospital for a few days and is feeling better - nothing like 4 liters of blood in a month to pep you up!

The want to more tests to figure out what is going on with her low blood counts, possibly another bone marrow test, and her breathing is better.
