Just curious, has anyone forgotten their past? I am 23 and cannot remember anything before 19-20 years old. My mom will mention things that happend or even my guardian after I moved away from my parents with no memory. My parents recently moved here and they show me pictures of family vacations or big moments in a kids childhood and I can't remember any of it? I don't even remember my senior trip. My rhuemy is sending to some type of psychiatist testing to see of any reason but has anyone experienced this personally?

Any ideas? confused

Sometimes I forget things that happened a few days ago. shocked

I've been like this all my life. I've always thought it was because we moved so much in my lifetime I kind of forgot on purpose to avoid the pain of losing my friends. cry

I wonder if it is more? confused

I've been like this since I was in my late teens. I'm 40 now. It was and still is a standing joke. My husband just tried to convince me the other day we had gone to Hawaii.. Not funny!

Anyways, I was diagnosed with Epilepsy, temperol lobe siezures, when I was 21, which accounts for much of it. Could this possibly be a problem for you. The memory loss does seem to be getting worse with the Lupus as well. I have no memories of my childrens births, most or all of our vacations, my child hood, and many times what I did last week.

Take lots of pictures, it does seem to jog the memory a little. Good luck and keep a positive attitude!! Not everything we've done in our lives is worth remembering anyways.. lol

I too, have memory problems. Our joke in the home is....I can watch a re-run and it's like watching it for the frist time. Just, this year I have been tested for memory problems. For me it may be from not sleeping right at night. I now have sleep apnea.

Enjoy what you can today and leave the rest for another day.
