Scorpion Sting

I was stung in the neck last night by a scorpion. Very,very painful but thankfully the pain is gone now. However, I am extremely fatigued. I'm sure it is the stress of the whole thing. I called my rheumy and she said I should be okay.

Just thought I would post this. Never been stung by a scorpion before and never want to be again. :-)

Are you sure you are OK? How would a rheumy know about scorpion stings?? I think I would have gone straight to the ER. But, then again, I live in the east and we do not have scorpions here.

I'm going to my PC doctor this afternoon. Have to get a tetanus shot. Not looking forward to it. UGH!!

I thought scorpions were deadly? What did your PC say about the sting? My aunt got stung by a Scorpian when she was on an international vacation and she was rushed to the hospital. She almost lost her foot. Hope you are okay and everything went well w/ doctor.

Depending on which type of scorpion it was.
In Georgia we have a few little black ones running around. Their sting is like a bee sting. It hurts, but not deadly unless you're allergic or get multiple stings.
Found one in my bed one time. :(

I'm doing fine after the scorpion sting. I went to the dr and got a tetanus shot. That has bothered me more than the scorpion sting. LOL

I don't ever want to get stung again but now I know that at least this type of scorpion wasn't that dangerous.
