Do you take diaretics? When my puff up I take an extra half of a pill to help it out.
However, if your urine is foamy I think you need to see a doctor ASAP. This is signs of possible kidney failure.

PS. My brother has kidney problems (renal failure) and his is always foamy.

First, talk to your doctor.  The condition you describe is proteinuria and is usually controlled with an ace inhibitor like lisinopril.  Diuretics are usually added to bring the swelling down but they do not control the condition.  I had it really bad and meds have completely controlled it for almost 6 years.

Also, while it is a sign of kidney involvement it is not necessarily a sign of imminent kidney failure.  But it should not be ignored and your doctor should refer you to a nephrologist who will run tests and might want to take a kidney biopsy to determine what stage your kidneys are in.  My condition was bad but early and meds quickly brought it under control.

Didn't see your 2nd post.  Stage 4 is serious.  You need to see a nephrologist.

See your doctor ASAP. I had the same thing about 3 weeks ago. My kidneys went down to 12% function. We had scheduled to get a port to start dialysis but fortunatly because of quick responses, dialysis has been spared as of now. This is very serious and NOTHING to mess around with. Also, I am sure you know but try and be mindful of salt usuage. I am guessing at stage 4, you are probably not on lisinopril right now. As in severe kindey damage, lisiniopril can wreack havoc on the kidneys. Lisinopril is more of a maintenance drug to help control the protein ONCE things are under control.  but hopefully you are on some type of BP medicaiton?? Do you know which one?

PLEASE call your doc or go to the ER. I would much rather be over cautious than have to start dialysis!
