I'm mad at myself today.
about two hours after I took my morning medicines I saw a pill on the floor. It was my pain medicine. mad
I couldn't figure out if it was today's dose or a previous' day's dose. confused So I didn't take it to be safe. nono

What gets me is this is the second time in two weeks that I came back to the kitchen and found a pill not taken (that one was on the table). rolleyes mad

I've always prided myself on my memory... now I'm getting so forgetful. smhair

I'm resorting to writing down user names, passwords, messages, and making myself notes when I go shopping. confused

I did something today that was absolutely hilarious now, but at the time it frustrated me to no end....
I got a glass down from the cabinet and the ice box out of the freezer to fill the glass up. When I was done I started to put the glass of ice back into the cabinet. I stopped myself halfway during it telling myself "no, you need to keep the glass". So I picked up the ice box and started to put it in the cabinet! turn   I stopped myself halfway during that and remembered it needed to go into the freezer. blush

I forget while showering if I've bathed yet or washed my hair sometimes. When I can't figure it out I do it twice just to be sure. blush

I feel so scrambled brained at times. I guess this is what they call lupus fog? confused

Oh Joy! I am becoming such a scatterbrain too. I think side effects of medications are playing an important role in this for me. I have had to resort to using so many reminders. I honestly use weekly pill box set up for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner, and night and then I have remdinders in my phone going off to remind me when I need to take them. I have NEVER had this problem before. Then I will get my reminder and go to take my pills and can't remember what I was getting ready to do. So now I have reminders popping up in my computer, phone, sticky notes everywhere, car, and most important ones on bathroom mirror. It takes so much more time to plan but so far, it seems to be working. I haven't missed very many apts or too many places I was supposed to be!!!

Oh the life of a lupie, at least we never have a day without somesort of entertainment from ourselves ;-)

Hi! Joy and Amy and all,
I do much of the same. I once read that the man who invented sticky notes kept getting fired, from 3M, I think, because he kept working on a glue that wouldn't stick! tongue I am panicked about losing pills, with toddler grandaughter visits and two small dogs at my feet. I pour them out of my pill planner and take them over the sink.  I use 1 big monthly calendar on a clipboard to keep track of everything, and STILL forget stuff. arghh..
hugs,
suetoo

I make grocery list and forget to look at them. :(

When I start back to work in a couple of weeks I'm going to have to make notes to keep up with all of the new stuff. I just hope I don't forget something that will get me fired. :O

I've been real forgetful these past few months. I attributed it to being put to sleep so much for procedures and surgeries these past few years.

Anybody have trouble remembering the right word you want to say?
I'll be talking, forget the next word, and have to stumble around until it comes back to me.
