I'm at my wits end trying to find out some info. Hoping that someone can help me here.
It all started a month ago when I visited the GP for a renewal of my Thyroid prescription.
During the visit I explained that the meds just don't seem to be working and I'm feeling even more exhausted and just ache all over.
He handed me a blood requisition and almost everything came back abnormal. *Sigh*
Including the ANA & Rheumatoid Factor.
The only thing I know is that I have to see a Rhuematologist (sp?) for further investigating. Which BTW isn't until Nov...Grrrrrr
Can some please, please, please help me understand what this means...Good? Bad? So so? Anything?

ANA
ANA Screen A EQUIVOCAL
Titre: 80 Pattern: Speckled
Pathologist Comments Low titre of ANA which is sometimes seen in healthy subjects. This should
not be considered in isolation, but must be interpreted in light of the
patient's clinical findings.
Rheumatoid Factor
Rheumatoid Factor < 10 < 10 kU/L

It doesn't mean anything at this point. A Rheumatologist will have to examine you, do tests, and talk over your symptoms with you. A low ANA just means you need to be reviewed by a Rheumy.

Meanwhile, aim for 4 basic actions: eat healthy foods, get good restorative sleep, get some mild exercise, and see the doctor ASAP. Make sure you get enough Vitamin B and protein.
