Hi all

Just having bad days over and over :( Had my gallblader out month and a bit ago, so went to see my Doc and he said that as well as Lupus and all other crap I have auto-immune hepatitis. Taking plaquenil for a month now and all pains only seem to be getting worse and now I am nauseous as well, and today I have that scary between the shoulders pain back that supposedly was caused by stones which are gone!!!

Can somebody please tell me its gonna get better some time and not worse??? cry
How long did it take before it started getting better on Plaquenil?

Thanks for listening girls!

You start feeling the effects at two months and the full effect by six months.

I've been on plaquenil for five weeks. I do feel a difference in my fatigue not being as bad. My aches are not as bad.

Do you think the nausea is from GERD?

Is your doctor a rheumotologist? They are the drs who specialize in auto-immune disorders and are the only one really qualified to diagnose and treat it. If you don't have one, find one quick!

Most Lupus doctors will add prednisone or some other kind of cortiosteroid for inflammation. Generally with Lupus the pain is from the inflammation, and it should be treated first.

I think nausea is a common complaint when having liver issues.

Thank you both for answering! Felt really bad last night, was one of those days, and so great to have this Forum!

I do have reflux all right, was taking Nexium until recently, but my stomach doc suggested to stop for a while to get my liver chance to catch up after removing gallbladder. I guess stopping it could have cause extra pain, but nausea started before I stopped Nexium and I never really felt anything like it. Started it again last night, just hoping it will help!
I do have rheumotologist, my stomach doc consulted with him when my blood came back positive on ANA, ASMA and later anti-DNA, I was having a lot of pains under right rib and between shoulders that time so they were testing for hepatitis. So when I saw rheumotologist he said I probably have Lupus for a few years and put me on Plaquenil. He doesn't want me to take steroids because of my kidneys, just said to keep taking solpadol and wait a few month. Unless I have another bad flare with a fever.... Unforchunately I cannot take any anti-inflammatory either because of stupid kidneys too, so codeine helps some to get through working day but I am sure its not helping the liver side, bloody stupid body devil

I was just venting last night a bit and looking for some hope I suppose, that it will (hopefully) get better for me some time :-) I wish I lived in California and could get some medical green stuff!!

Thank you so much for answering, gives me a hope! :)
