Hi! and welcome,
I am glad you found us, and hope you feel better soon. I agree with Joy, and perhaps the dr. could refer you to a kidney specialist, (nephrologist) asap? Remember to drink lots of water, and you probably have seen a dozen different doctors by now. Could you pick the one you like the most, compile ALL your records, build an illness time line, and then see her/him often until you get this infection under control. Underlying lupus makes fighting any infection tough. EDs are great for emergencies, but the drs. there see the urgent short tern issue, i.e. evidence of kidney infection? throw 5 days of antibiotic at it and maybe it, (and the patient) will go/stay away....
I am so sorry you feel so discouraged. I am just coming out of a 3 week flare and my dr. suggested my acute trouble breathing is heartburn.
take care and keep us posted,
God knows, even if I don't....
