I believe that there is a stand-alone specific blood test and/or biopsy that can determine, all by itself, whether you have Sjogren's or not.
On the other hand, a Lupus dx is made up of a majority of evidence, where a combination of symptoms and/or bloodwork can define the disease.
Sadly, the symptoms are pretty much the same between Lupus and Sjogren's -- except that Sjogren's most often shows up first in dry eyes and/or dry mouth.
That said, have you asked for a re-evaluation? Are you seeing a rheumy? A regular dr isn't trained well enough to tell the difference between the 2 diseases. Maybe a consult with another rheumy?
With your combination of symptoms, it does seem like you should be using some medication to control the symptoms, even if they can't come up with a diagnosis.
