So does anyone have problems with flares after you take trips in the car from the sunlight? Do you get your windows coated? I'm about to do that. Ugh!!!

Also, do the usual plastic covers over fluorescent lights block UV or do they have to be special cover? Thanks!!!

I have had tinted auto windows for years, and I notice a HUGE difference when I have to travel in a car without tinting. I think you'll enjoy the results.

I believe the regular plastic covers work over the fluorescents, but others may have better information on that.

Thanks Lynwood. I am going to check into it. It seems like my toyota has a tint on my windows but not windshield. Anyway, just because it is darker, doesn't mean it is keep ing out the UV rays. It isn't expensive, I think it would be worth it.

Yes, I flare if I ride in the car for long trips. My car windows are not tinted. I have to cover up to block the sun's rays. Also I use a lot of sunscreen.
The plastic shields on fluorescent lights is not enough I found out. My boss purchased special UV blocking tube covers for the lights in my classroom. Since they were installed I feel better and don't flare as bad from the rays.
I guess I need to invest in the UV coating for my windows.
