Hi All,

I have been having this weird hives and itchy welts after sun exposure which i thought was allergy to diabetes drugs and lots of walking in nature,BUT lately i get flush on face which is not butterfly rash.
Got tested for ANA which is positive -don't have number but going to rheumatologist soon plus my c - reactive protein is high that's 9 .DOES that mean i have some connective tissue problems .

my PCP is probing more and doing more blood tests but i am anxious .

plz help.. shocked

Once the rheumatologist finishes the bloodwork you may have an answer. Lupus is a sneaky disease. You can have all sorts of weird reactions.

Meanwhile, are you using broad spectrum sunscreen? Also get you some clothes with SPF protection built in and a wide brim tightly woven hat. The tighter the weave on the clothing the less UV rays will get in.
Did you know that fluorescent lighting also gives off UV rays which can cause sun sensitive people like us to have reactions, too?
Take care, and I hope you will get your answers soon.
Be sure to stick around and ask any other questions that may pop up.
