Hi, my dr. told me yesterday that I was slightly hyperreflexive, and my leg did something they see in parkinsons, although he assured me that I had no other symptoms for that, thankfully. I shake a lot, and have muscle twitching, my hands and legs tingle, but I have several more typical lupus type symptoms as well - fevers, swollen glands, rashes, joint pain, fog, etc. I lose words, names, numbers... sometimes it feels like my brain is moving through molasses! We have a small local business and as I stand there, shaking, unable to remember the customer's name, or the code for the item I'm trying to put in, I feel like such an idiot. People expect you to remember them when they've been in a lot, my husband's great at it, then there's me... I'm afaid that whatever this is, it's attacking my neurvous system. I read that that was possible in lupus, but movement type disorders being caused by it were somewhat rare. Is anyone else dealing with this? Some days Im on it, I feel pretty good, and I think I must just be nuts, other days I'm such a mess. Anyway, thanks for letting me vent. If anyone out there has similar things going on I'd love to hear about it, thanks again.

Yes, lupus can cause some of those symptoms however so can other things. I would highly suggest getting a neuro workup by a neurologist and let them know all your symptoms and see what tests they need to run. It's easy for us to assume that it's Lupus because that's what we have but sometimes it's dangerous because we could be overlooking something else we may have going on.
