Hy guys,

I went to my rhumey yesterday and it seems my ANA and dsDNA both came back negative.  My last blood test the ana came back postive so now my body is confused.  I am not sure what all of this means.  the test was positive for anticardiolipin and my doc said that might be a sign of a blood clotting disease.

Well I also got the results of my kindney biopsy and their is damage.  the repost actually said "because of the immunemorophological overlap with mesangial proliferative lupus nephritis (class II) and the fact that this patient has had a postive ANA in the past , underlying systemic lupus should be clinically ruled out before a diagnosis of IgA nephropathy is accepted."

Rheumy has not seen this report but he is repeating ana test to make sure,  He does not want to diagnose lupus yet but I wonder if that will change when he gets the biopsy report.

Any help from anyone to help me understand all of this will be appreciated.

Sorry you've got such issues. I'm still learning about Lupus myself and haven't figured out my path yet so I can't help you with info.

It's good your Rheumy is doing the testing again just to decided if it's lupus related or not.

I hope you find answers.
