Does anyone know what to do when intense, head-to-toe body aches set in and make you want to just scream in agony?  This is happening to me more frequently.  The intensity and duration vary each time.

It is not the worst pain I have ever had,  but is the most agonizing body aches I have ever had.  I was just diagnosed with SLE-Lupus the end of 2011 after 25 years of symptoms.

Sounds like a flare going on...
What medicines are you on for your lupus?

I am on Lyrica, Tramadol, and Prednizone to deal with inflammation and chronic pain from OA, FMS, and Lupus. Due to Polycystic Kidney and Liver Disease my options are limited.

My doctors have not mentioned either of them to me yet, and I have not yet researched them. Every medicine, prescription or over the counter, has side effects. That makes it so hard knowing which ones are the least dangerous and whether the pain relief is worth the risk. Plus, meds effect each person differently. Many times over the years, I've opted for the pain relief over the possible risks in order to be able to function in life. I'll do some research on those two you mentioned, then discuss them with my Dr when I go for follow-up lab work and exam later this month. Thanks!
