For the last 2 weeks, i have been having terrible cramping. I have had blood work down twice checking for potassium issues and yesterday they ran the Sed rate, comp levels, ds dna, and basic metabolic panel. They happen very bad at night and then also during the day. Today I started getting the cramps in my rib area, upper back, and neck. So now it is all over.  And these cramps cause my hands and feet to go in crazy directions so i know my other parts would if that was an option. I do know what causes it but can't change that. It's simple things like reaching for a glass of water, wiping self on toilet, reaching for the remote, its starting to become anytime I move.  Do you guys have any idea??? Does this sound like the lupus flaring?

Sorry, I haven't heard of anything like that. Do you have a neurologist on your team - maybe something with the nerves (sounds a little similar to some MS symptoms)?

Hope the mystery is solved or that it passes SOON.

Well, just heard back from some of the blood work. My calcium is very low (probably cause of cramps) and my Sed rate is 105, creatinine jumped up to 13.9 and BUN was 129. Signs the lupus is becoming active again. Would also explain the joint pain and swelling!!!
