My rheumie had advised me to go to a cardiologist because with this flare that I have been in I am having difficulties breathing. I already have a heart condition since birth but it hasn't caused any problems. Any way I can look at my records and results of tests and just saw the result of my EKG. It was classified as abnormal. I have possible Left atrial enlargement and somewhere along the line I have had a heart attack!!!

I am totally freaked out because I see a cardiologist quite frequently. It has been almost two years, though since I saw my regular cardio and everything was fine then. It also said that I have a sinus arrythmia.

Today I had pulmonary function testing done. I am still going to have a holter monitor, pulse meter and echocardiogram done next week. Then results with the Dr. on the 25th.

Knowing I have had a heart attack scares me to death and I will definitely be changing my lifestyle big time. No more sweets for me and I am going to exercise somehow.

I'm not going to panic but maybe this will help with my disabilty case now. I hope so.

I'll keep you posted.

Hi NanaBee. How did the pulmonary function tests go? Have you had the other tests yet? If I found out I had a heart attack I'd panic too. As it is I'm stressed 'cause during my internist visit he found one pupil larger than the other (coupled with worse than usual brain fog) and ordered a brain MRI which I'll get Monday. It's these "little surprises" that I really hate.  I'll try to stay calm if you will yeah   Love, Butterflake aka Donna

Hi Donna, I haven't gotten the results for the pulmonary function test yet. I did have an ultrasound of my hear and it showed some enlargement. Holter monitor showed some arrythmias with my heart beat fluctuating from 41 bpm to 135 bpm.
I will see the doctor on the 25th for the final results.

I am trying not to stress and you don't stress out either. Let me know how it goes Monday.

Take care,
Mary Ann
