Hi, I'm leaving today to travel down to south GA for my yearly family reunion. The trip involves being in the car for 10 hours total. Last year I swelled up terrible during the trip and felt horrible for days after. I hadn't started my medications for lupus then.
This time will be a test of how much I've changed since last year. I've got my sunscreen, sun clothes, hat, and scarf.  I'm hoping to be able to cover up really good this time and feel okay.
I'll let you guys know how the trip went on Monday. (fingers crossed)
Wish me luck!

I live in GA and hope y'all have a great time. Stretch those legs while in the car! Love, Butterflake aka Donna

I'm back! I didn't swell on this trip, but I did get very sick Saturday night. I got hit with nausea, stomach cramps, cold sweats, and diarreha. It took a tramadol, zofren, and pepto to stop it. By Sunday morning I felt much better.
I am very tired from the trip though. It drained me of all energy.
The sun left me with pains increased in my hands and feet.

I don't plan on another long trip for another year. ;)
