Yesterday i was to a reumatologist for the first time. She said that my ANA test showed 1:1280 and that I might have lupus. I have had a lot of different symptoms more than 10 years and 8 years ago I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. When I came home I checked some papers I got from another doctor. I didn't remember it, but in January this year an ANA test was taken and that one was negative. Through the years all kind of tests have been taken and all have always been fine. This ANA test is the first one that shows something is not right. Now my question is: Does anybody know why a test could be negative and then four months later it shows 1280?
