I have been thinking about how much of an impact do my other medical conditions have upon my being unable to work and being on disability.
I have a heart condition since birth, high blood pressure, IBs, degenerative disc disease, fibromyalgia and now depression and anxiety. I'm sure that all together they play some part in me not being able to work but only my rheumatologist says I can't work due to MCTD (Lupus). I wish that my other doctors would look at the whole picture instead of just their part and realize that my other conditions could be adding to the problems I am having.
Just a thought!!

yep. I was told by my back doctor 2 years ago I had degenerative disk disease. My PCP hadn't heard it from him so he didn't put it down on my private disability papers recently.

I think unless doctors think it is adding to your disability they don't write it down. They should though, I think. Just because they aren't the doctor treating it they should note it.

My rheumy and my primary doctor don't like each other so that makes my life interesting. LOL.

I have just recently change my GP. I asked my wonderful Rheumy for a recommendation. This way they can work together. My GP is also wonderful. When I needed to go to an Orthopedist, it was also my Rheumy who recommended him. Now I am switching dermatologist, you guessed it, at the recommendation of my Rheumy. Now they can all work together without repeating test and know what is going on all the time.

Have you tried taking activated charcoal and clearing the bad out of your body. Look on line for recommendations on how to take it. You need to take it at night if you don't have any meds that it will block. Check with your pharmacist to find out what is best for you . Sometimes, just getting rid of the toxins in your body will do wonders. When the dermy freezes my sores (14-20) at a time I take 4 activated charcoal cap a night for 10 days to get rid of all the stuff that is released from doing this. They heal in a month, instead or 3-4 months.

Hang in there and believe that things will get better.
