Hi everyone, I'm new to this group but it seems like a great place to learn more about my AI disorder.   3 years ago I had a car accident, and after lots of therapy, my injuries weren't resolving.. I knew something else was going on and actually suspected fibro years ago.  Anyway now with the trauma from the accident and a full hysterectomy under my belt, I feel as if things are really running a muck with me.   I have to have hip surgery and my other hip is starting to act up, I have multiple compression fractures ( not sure why) bulged disc,  poor concentration, fatique, multiple joint pain and swelling.   My rheumatologist is a nice doctor, and I respect his opinion.  The thing is that he is very standoffish about labelling what I have although my last episodes of chest pain and burning swollen hands did convince him to investigate alittle further.  Before now my ANA was positive as was my anti-la.. Now he did the ENA and that came back positive as well.   He also did the scan on my glands and my submandibular glands have "limited" activity.    Right now I'm trying to convince the folks at CPP that I am legitimately sick ( plus Ihave polycystic liver and kidneys. to boot).  It seems to be fallen on deaf ears and so it's off to the pensions appeal board for one final round.   This is all very very tiring, and even though I am thorough and keep good records.. it's proven to be a challenge and many days I have all I can do just to be somewhat functional
Any thoughts, advice or words of wisdom would be much appreciated

Hi, welcome to the forum.

Is there anyway you could get a second opinion from another rheumatologist?

I'm not sure what all your results mean but I would definitely keep pursuing it with the doctor until you get some answers.

Hang in there, I know it is difficult when you don't know what is going on and need answers.
