Today I saw my new kidney doctor my rheumy sent me to.
She was very nice and her staff was kind.
She thinks we've caught my protein spill early enough to prevent damage. I'm suppose to start lisenopril tomorrow, do a 24 hr collection test, and get an ultrasound of my kidneys on Friday.
I go back to get the results on Sept 10th. (fingers crossed) I'm hoping there's no further problems.

Sounds like fairly good news! That's great.

I'm glad the doctor was so positive. Hopefully, the new med will kick in and you will get a great report when you go back next month.

Didn't get to go to renal ultrasound on Friday. My sister became very ill on Monday and I had to go out of state to care for her. I jst got home today. I rescheduled for this upcoming Friday.

I am flaring because I had to help so much and stayed two days under fluorescent lighting with her in the hospital. I forgot my sunscreen during this time also. :P
My pain level is at an 8!

She's in a nursing care home for a few weeks. She had slipped into a type of coma for a day on Thursday. She was up and talking on Sunday, but dazed and confused about the last week and very weak. She has to stay there until she recovered.

I'm still waiting for my Rheumy to call in some predisone for my flare. Everything throbs...........

HI Joy,

I'm so sorry about your sister. I will keep her in my prayers. I hope that by now your doctor has called and given you some pred. Take care of yourself. Try and take it easy for a few days and let the pred get in your system.

Hugs,
Mary Ann
