Hi everyone,

My names Kristen. For the past two years I've incredibly bad joint pain. My mother insisted it was growing pains, but about 3 months ago she room MD to the doctors because my symptoms took a turn for the worse. Not only were my joints down, but now they pop when I move them. Also, I kept getting unexplained fevers, chills, and when I was in the sun too lotg I'd get a rash on my cheeks. My pediatrician sent my for blood tests, and my ana was startlingly high, 1:640. The blood test ruled out jra, but the weren't sure about lupus. They sent me to a rheumetologist, and he sent me for more blood tests. I honestly could tell the first moment we walked into his office that it was going to bad. The wallpaper was peeling the magazines were from 2001, the staff was ride, and this was all before we even went back into a room. My parents said it would be fine, but then when we met him they thought otherwise. The guy was at least 80, and was really ride aswell. When the results came in, he said they were normal and said that I might be making all of this up, and that my AMA was high like some of the population. He suggested I go are a physiologist. That's when I broke out in years because my doctor didn't believe I was actually in any pain. My pediatrician got the report back, and was shocked. The rheumetologist told him I was needing a physiatrisT's help. We were all appalled. My pediatrician had been looming into every possible disease , an we can't seen to find a match. Is my ANA really that high? Also, my and hematocrit and hemoglobin are high as well. Any suggestions? I also have a fracture in my back, with an unknown cause, and spondylolisthesis. My heart recently has been hurting as well. Any idea what this could be? Thanks so much.

I'd ask my parents to find a better rheumy. One who is more updated in information about ANA testing.

Pick them up and throw them right back at them! :))
