Being in the sun or in fluorescent lights does have a tendency to aggravate lupus symptoms and give us some uncomfortable symptoms. Most of us end up limiting our sun exposure - it exhausts me and makes my muscles and joints tight and sore. I also get a sun reaction rash on my arms and neck.
Even if your numbers are 'low' when we have several symptoms like you've mentioned most rheumies will treat with plaquneil and possibly prednisone. Sometimes treatment and our reactions to treatment is a huge clue in whether we have lupus or some other auto-immune disease.
Hope you feel better soon,
