Some of my first symptoms of lupus were dizziness and falls. Although I currently don't need assistive devices often, I still fall occasionally.

I've had pets my entire life. Currently there's a white chihuahua/jack russel (Mr. Peabody), a big orange manx who hardly speaks (Silent Bob), a med hair calico with very green eyes (Emerald Kitty), a zebra finch who's way past his life expectancy and losing feathers (Skank) and two long haired silky guinea pigs (brown & white: Bacon Bit and black&white with a piece of hair that hangs in his face: Elvis)

Wednesday I placed my pigs in their gated pen while I cleaned their cage. I turned around and fell hard with my right hand landing directly on Elvis. Elivis died last night. It's easier for me to say he died indirectly from lupus than to say I killed him. Good bye my sweet little whistling guy. Love, Mom

Oh, Butterflake, I'm so sorry you lost your pig. My son had some when he was growing up and they were just the cutest things. I know what you mean about Elvis being a whistling guy. The noises they make are so cute.

Again I am sorry. You are right to blame Lupus and not yourself. I hope you didn't hurt yourself when you fell. It is hard to lose a beloved pet. I know. We just lost our Ms.Kitty who lived to the ripe old age of 21.

Take care and hugs,
Mary Ann

I think Mary Anne just said it all for me. Very sorry for your loss. Lupus just can't quit taking, can it? darn it!
