Hi..I am new here and am trying to find answers to my worsening health issues..and Im also trying to get some sort of diagnosis. My problems started years ago, about 1992,with horrible joint pain,swelling,redness..It started in my ankles,knees,hands,wrists..I would get sick to the point of hardly being able to get out of bed.I would get a speckled rash on those joints..Slight red facial rash if in the sun/heat,fatigue and just a feeling of general illness. At the time,I was working for a company that I had to do alot of hard physical labor.I started getting alot of flank pain, went to my GP,and was getting alot of what he called kidney infections.Casts in the urine and protien.he would not release me for work.I was sent to the company dooctor,he found the same, and wouldnt release me either. But neither doctor said why this kept happening.A few years later,I started getting even more horrible joint pains, now in hips and completely all over my body. And the rashes started. If I am stressed,in the heat/sun too much,or get a viruse/cold..I will get a red rash on my chest/torso,,in the V neck area, around my upper back and little blood spots.I feel like hell when this happens. It just happened around September 2nd..This rash will last about 3-4 days, then fade..it blanches. There is no itching with this particular rash,or sting/burning.I will get bad flank pain also, particulary on the lleft side.I have had high blood pressure for several years, and started on meds about 2005 or so.I also have petechiae all over my upper arms, alittle on chest and thighs. When I flare into this particular rash,I also get larger petechia on my abdomen area.I have NO insurance currently,as it is hard to work when feeling like this..I also have a doctor who seems unsympathetic..as after this last flareup, which was a holiday weekend,I took pictures on my phone of this rash, and as I went in  last week for a checkup,he dismissed the thought that I might have lupus,or even some other kind of connective tissue illness.I did manage to get him to do alittle bloodwork..But they are slow there and I havent gotten any results back.he wouldnt even look much at my pictures, saying it was JUST a uticarical rash of some sorts. And he also kept making a point that I have NO insurance..I did test positive for ANA in 2001.My previous doctor passed away..The other doctor I was going to went out of buisness, and the other doctor surrendered his license due to some sort of malpractice.I really cant afford a rheumy right now.One doctor did diagnose me with Fibro. But I beleive there is alot more going on...I also have had severe erythemous fingers, and have trouble with raynauds.Any input, advice would deeply be appreciated.Thank You,, <3

Maybe you can work out a payment plan with the Rheumy?

Does your work place have long term disability?

I am employed very part time..I had individual insurance working for a small company back in the 90's that wasnt toooooo bad,,but the company was small, and they didnt carry company insurance..I was paying at the time around $150 a month. After I tested positive for the ANA,my insurance grossly went up to $500 a month...which I could not pay, even though I had no sort of diagnosis. So then I got a different individual insurance that would NOT pay for any pre-existing illnesses. That isurance wasnt very good, but it was something..but the price kept going up on that. And I thought, why pay them almost $200 a month, when they wont cover anything I have. ? .Its a no win.I am going to reapply though,as I am finding out doctors dont really want to deal with me too much due to the insurance.I guess they feel it restricts them, say if they want to send you for tests or something...Its just hard to pay on time every month...

There is a new law stating you can't be punished for a pre-existing conditions.
