I have had this plae under my arm , kinda on the side of my rib. It is the size of a dime, reddish brown, looks like a burn and it itches. So went to the dermatoligst and she looked at it, was gonna take a small biopsy but once she started feeling it she ended up taking a big biopsy. Results back in a week. She asked me alot about my current health which is not good. I have a couple of motiltiy disorders, very chronic dry eye, fibromyalgia and dysautonmia. My health is very bad and has been for 2 years. Down nearly 70 pounds due to gastroparesis and colonic inertia. I have been checked for lupus many times over the years. I was told a fews years ago before I got real sick that I had roseca. But since I am unable to be outside much due to fatigue and the dysautonomia, the roseca disppeared. She foudn that odd. Normally roscea doesn't disappear like that.Could have been the butterfly rash, not sure.

How common are these types of rashes. It's not really a rash so much as a spot that looks like a burn and itches/

Thanks

Sounds like discoid lupus, but not positive.

I'm not familiar with everything lupus. I was just diagnosed last year with SLE type.

I had something similar sounding but it turned out to be old age. Growth rings, I guess. Strange how our bodies do things without our permission.

I hope the biopsy shows it's nothing. I'm also waiting for the results from a dermo biopsy...fun, fun, fun.

Hang in there,

See I had just posted about a "bruise" on my upper hip but it's not green or blue or purple. Its just a spot looking thing that has been there for about 3 weeks and yeah at first it did itch but not so much anymore. Hmmm makes me really wonder now....patty
