I went to the docs Wednesday last week for my follow up and my husband decided to mention about my chronic cough. I thought it was the Pepsi carbonation that was aggrivating it. I have had chronic bronchitis since I was 3 yrs old. Take allergy meds and decongestants regular and it kept getting worse. Doc told me it was a cyclic irritation thing, SHe put me on a steroid inhalers with an acute albuterol inhaler as well. No big surprise my blood pressure went sky high and I had to reduce dose of daily inhaler. She said it was inflammation that can be controlled within two weeks but it gave me high BP 107/106 and gave me such a slamming headache. I reduced it to once daily (maintenance) and the cough returned and I had to use albuterol twice in 4 hours. I walk regular for the fibro and it is fall so I think I need more antihistamines but she said no. Im so tired now from the changes. I have a new humidifier and try to be compliant but I am scared I am going to poop a vessel. Any suggestions?????????

I wonder if your cough is GI related? Do you get heartburn or feelings of something in your throat a lot? Especially after eating?

Lupus can sometimes affect our stomachs causing reflux issues. I had it and caused asthma trouble for me also.

For my asthma I take advair, but this season has really kicked my backside.
