Ill make this as short as I can. Since last October I have been having these little red/purplish dots on my body all over, they do not discriminate. Since last October I saw 3 er doctors, my primary and a derm all of who can't find anything out. My primary had a ton of blood work drawn all the way from a cbc to a DNA double stranded test and everything came back normal range or negative. These dots last about 3 days but if I scratch them they go away. I went quite a while without having any but this am I found one rearing its ugly little face! I had a ANA TEST done also which was 1:40.

My anxiety is getting the best of me, everyone else thinks I'm a hypochondriac. My last resort is to come to the Internet and see what others think..? I've been told that I just have to live with them but what if something is brewing inside of me? I'm scared to death sometimes I think I'd just rather rest for good then worry constantly. Do my symptoms sound like familiar to anyone? I have never had more the. 10 at a time.

I am a 25 f don't drink, don't smoke on no medications. I could upload pictures too. I had pvc's but have since gone away

Is this the only symptom you're having? It sounds like petecua (sp?). It's pin-point hemorages under the skin. I used to get them on my shins due to dry skin and irritation.

Lupus usually presents itself first with fatigue and joint pains.

If all tests are negative and this is the only symptom you have I'd relax about lupus.
You can try to see another dermatologist for another opinion.

Thank you for the reply. These are my only symptoms. Otherwise I feel fine. Sleeping is good, no joint pain. I just don't understand what's going on to cause these, it's frustrating to never get an answer. I do refer to them as petechiae also. I've read about this occurring in lupus so I've been worried about that.

I'd wouldn't fret unless other things begin to happen.

While this may be something that sometimes occurs *with* Lupus, it is not a defining characteristic. Thus I wouldn't put Lupus on the "Worry List". And as long as they remain random and come/go quickly, I probably wouldn't worry at all!

Unfortunately, our bodies are very complex and sometimes there just isn't an easy answer. To me these small random petechiae are down there with hangnails...sometimes you just have no idea why.

Be well!

Thank you both very much. You've made me feel better. I know I get annoying to my family, I show my mom them who is a Rn and shrugs them off. It's hard to deal with when your showing her and she just stares at the computer! I guess I have to just wait and see what happens. It's been a year and no other symptoms, however my mind can be my own worst enemy at times :( thanks for the support.
