Hey everyone, I have a quick strange question for you. I'm not really sure where to turn for answers, except to go through a battery of tests w/ a rheumatologist and I have had my share of doctors for one year for other problems.
Anyway, here's the big question:
Has anyone had any experience, or know if it is even possible to have a jaw bone infection one time, and then 8 months later could it cause my hip bone pain? Xrays showed nothing but phleboliths and calcifications, which would not be causing the pain. I had a root canal infection that spread to my jaw bone. We tried to knock it out with anti biotics, a couple of times. Ended up yanking the tooth. They said they got all the infection. I became sick and lost close to 30 lbs. I have a small complex renal mass that we are monitoring too.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Are you on any immunosuppressents?

It is possible for infection to spread but if it traveled that far with it being silent then they are probably related.
The hip bone pain maybe due to back issues.

Thanks, no back pain, no immuno suppressants. Just concerned a out the kidney mass a little and I think it's a stretch for the jaw bone thing.
I think it's a stretch because they said they got all the infection back at the end of feb and put me on my 3rd round of anti biotics.
You can't go 8 months without anything and then suddenly something, can you?
Thanks,

Not to my knowledge.

Just keep a watch on the kidneys though. They're nothing to fool around with.
