this is not a topic to talk  about but its really annoying It started monday morning being mildly itchy around the private area then i seem tobe urinating alot today and the itching is getting alot worse it has burned twice when urinating whats the problem does anyone know what could be causing this a UTI or something else.

It's probably a UTI. I'd go get tested at the doctor's office and get some antibiotic.
I'm prone to getting them and kidney infections. It can get very painful very quick for me.

Agree. I suggest you go see your GP and get tested.

I would see your doc immediately. If I don't get treated for a UTI fairly quickly, I end up in agony....not pleasant. And you don't want the infection to spread to your kidneys.

Currently i started taking cystitis sachets the burning has definatly stopped and so has the urinating alot but its still really itchy down there i just dont think i have enough symtoms like it being itchy to be uti or is it still that its just itchy now and nothing else

If you are running a fever and chill, you need to see your GP. If you are itchy, it could also be yeast infection. It's best you go down to see the GP and get diagnose.

The symptoms of a UTI can vary, especially as we age. I have frequent UTIs and sometimes don't realize it untill it's so advanced that it causes dizziness, fever, and mental confusion. I dont have itching or burning. It can be very scary. Left untreated the effects can be damaging, even causing death.

I'm not suggesting that yours is advanced, but that a possible UTI is something that shouldn't be overlooked. As others have suggested, you need to see your doctor.
