Okay so here is my story..

I was a healthy 28 yr old woman. Maybe overweight a little but I have never had any serious health problems.

So I had a little girl Feb16 of this year. She was healthy 6lb 14oz. about 3 weeks afterwards we were at the mall and I had a pain in my arm and shoulder. It just felt sore so I assumed it was because of holding her all the time now. So forward to later that night and the pain became really intense and made is was throughout both arms and then down my right leg only the back of my leg. The pain was incredible and I could not it brought me to my knees crying. It felt like I had did a million pushups the night before and I was now in a freezer.  So I went to the ER and after an iv of morphine and delaudid and numerous labs, despite being in horrendous pain they discharged me not finding anything. They told me to come back if it became worse. 5 hours later I was still crying so I returned. After a bigger dose of dalaudid and more labs they sent me home again and could not find anything. I had the pain for about a month in my arms, it wasn’t as intense but still was in pain daily. One morning I woke up with welts on my inner wrist. They were red, itchy and raised (NOT HIVES) they swelling was like under my skin. This was accompanied by muscle pain. I went in for labs and was sent home again. Since then I have been getting the welts mainly on my arms out of nowhere. Now when I am wearing pants, where the waist band rubs my skin it will leave a raised itchy rash. Occasionally random welts will appear on various parts of my body. Also I now have a really itchy scalp with bumps that rise up. They are not scaly just like gosh idk bumps. My labs that were taken the other day showed me Neg. for ANA and Anti-ro but I was positive for Anti-la and showed a moderately high crp level. I have a rheumatologist appt next week I just wanted some feedback before I go crazy because I have been driving myself nuts researching on the internet.

See if this link can help you.

It might be Sjögren's syndrome instead of lupus.

Sjorgens: " Sjögren's syndrome may cause skin, nose, and vaginal dryness, and may affect other organs of the body," -the wiki. " It is likely that interleukin 1 is the marker for fatigue, however, increased IL-1RA is observed in the CSF and is associated with increased fatigue through cytokine induced sickness behavior.[7] On the other hand, Sjögren's syndrome is characterized by decreased levels of IL-1ra in saliva, which could be responsible for mouth inflammation and dryness.[8] Patients with secondary Sjögren's syndrome also often exhibit signs and symptoms of their primary rheumatic disorders, such as SLE, Rheumatoid Arthritis or Systemic Sclerosis." -Also the wiki.

That's Sjorgens, and it really sounds like it. But, I do know that there are two types of Lupus: Systemic and Dermal. It could be dermal. But definitely just get this checked out (I know you will, you seem very afraid.) You'll figure this out, and if you're afraid, the forums are a good place to vent. People know what you're going through, or will at least sympathize.

I hope this gets figured out soon. It will though.
