Today I went to the store and they didn't have any riding carts so I chose to push a buggy. I felt like I could handle the small amount I had to do.

After just 15 minutes of shopping I started sweating like a pig and feeling very weak. smhair

I remember doing this a lot last summer.

My mother also mentioned that the other morning I woke up radiating heat like a furnace. A little later I started sweating the fever off and cooled quickly.

Do any of you get the random heat burst followed by drencing sweating?
Ps. I'm 45.

Hi Joy. I sweat just watching others exercise and I also sweat like a pig the moment spring arrives with warmer temps. When I do any type of exertion my hair gets sopping wet. For sleeping you might consider buying a Chill-ow or even sleeping with a freezer pack under your pillow. They even make mats now that you can lie on to reduce heat. So, you're not alone! Love, Butterflake

That happens to me and I'm 64. When it happened at age 50, it was peri menopause. It's a lousy feeling anyway you look at it. If you will keep a dry washcloth in a Baggie in your purse, you can run into a bathroom and wet it and wipe your neck and face. It helps!

I hope it gets better!

It's frustrating that just walking around the room can cause me to break out in a sweat.

I'm going to search for the chill-low.

I too sweat really easily. I've already gone through menopause, I went thru it at age 32. I was trying to make myself a sandwich for lunch today and my head and hair were dripping wet by the time I finished making the food.

Because of this I try not to do anything that requires to much moving around. I hate sweating like that, I have no idea why I do it, but I've heard that my pain medications may be apart of it.

Hang in there Joy, I hope things get better for you (((hugs))).

Hugs,
Barbara

I am thirty and right before being dx with UCTD I was doing this. I was put on Plaquenil and a water pill at about the same time and it stopped. I do not know which one helped. It was awful I would just stand up and that was enough exertion to start sweating. It would pour out of me.

Teddtlove, I've been on two lasix a day for 4 years now and plaquenil for 3 years.
I'm not exerting myself any so I can't figure out why I keep having these sweat attacks.
I'm sitting here now with sweat rolling down my scalp. I have the air conditioner running and a large fan blowing at medium speed on me, plus a ceiling fan going.
My body temp is 97.5 which is one degree above my normal.

I have the same problem.  Its frustrating when you are trying to get dressed to go somewhere.  I haven't found an answer, but it is worse when I am on higher doses of steroids.

I take a Steriod inhaler. I've been on it for 13 years. I just started this sweating like a pig during the summer over the last 3 years.

I walked around my house for just 2 minutes and I was soaked with sweat. No heavy lifting or running, just walking.

My body temperture is a little higher than normal still. So odd....
