Hi all,
My question is have any of you been borderline diagnosed with
Lupus? My ANA is positive but just barely. Component 4 is low (14),
WBC(3.2) low as well as RBC(3.78) I have been on Prednisone 10mg
a day since July, prescribed by my Rheumy for awful joint pain.
Especially in my hands. He says everything is testing positive,
but doesn't want to diagnose it as Lupus yet.

Oh, and now we are tapering down Prednisone to 10 every other
day and my hands are starting to ache again and the debilitating
fatigue is back... sad

It sounds like he's sitting on the fence until he's absolutely positive about the diagnosis.

The prednisone taper is one way he's trying to find out if it's inflamatory.

I'm sorry you're having to deal with this aggrevating issue. Once you get everything in this flare settled down you'll feel better.
