I am so sorry for your loss, I can't imagine how awful that must be.
It sounds as though they are covering the bases and trying to determine what went wrong and if they can prevent it in the future. After letting your system get back to normal, they will do these blood tests and look at them in conjunction with your symptoms (as the symptoms present in December), to see if there might be a course of treatment that might help you.
Please don't worry about
something (lupus) that you haven't been diagnosed with yet. I don't think the symptoms you've mentioned indicate lupus, but we aren't doctors and it sounds as though your docs have it under control. If you are interested in finding out more about
