Hi Katie. Personally I like it when we get off topic occasionally. Otherwise it can get boring and be too much of a bummer. Until you told us your name I thought you were Hawaiian. I went to Hawaii with my 15 y/o daughter and it was before I became sun sensitive.
As for the AI diseases, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia first, but I had positive anti-double stranded DNA tests which is lupus and all my symptoms pointed to lupus. about a year later I changed rheumys. So my AIs are Systemic Lupus, Raynauds, Fibromyalgia, and Sjogren's Syndrome. Many people have more than one AI. I think if you get out of line you go to the back of the line and start over eyes .
There are lupies who go into remission, sometimes for years and there are those who keep adding AIs. We've even had a couple of folks who had lupus and MS.
I truly am sorry that you've been hit so hard. Whenever you need to have a pity party, stop by and vent, cry, yell, rant and basically do whatever you need to do to for your mental health. Lots of us take antidepressants and antianxiety meds, but we still need to vent. My pets give me lots of comfort, but they can't type. Love, Donna

Hi Katie. This is my first post on this forum. I also have multiple AI's. First was RA, then Sjogrens came along, followed by fibromyalgia and now possibly Lupus. It does seem never ending doesn't it? They seem to like to bring their friends along for company.

Rheumatoid Arthritis, Sjogrens, Fibromyalgia, Chiari 1 Malformation, Osteoarthritis of the hip and neck, Heart Murmur, Acid reflux/gerd.

Hi, and welcome....
I have lupus, fibro, ostoarthritis, hypothyroidism, and another ton of mixed baggage.
They've all gradually climbed on board over the years, more faster as the years go by.... :/

I try my best to muddle through the days. Some days are better than others.
I'm down to one pet now (used to be 3) and he's not a lap cat like the others. He's 25 pounder who lays on my toes. :))
Lupus, Fibromyalgia, Glaucoma, Asthma, Hypothyriodism, Sleep Apnea, OA, Depression, Allergies, and benign familia tremors

When life throws you lemons....
Pick them up and throw them right back at them! :))
