I woke up this morning with severe dizzy spells. My left ear felt swollen closed. I had my mother look in my ears and both were swollen almost closed. They still feel a little swollen. My butterfly rash is all over my face. My back is so tight I can barely walk.
It's a spa wrap kind of day. shakehead

Hi Joy,

I know those days.  Just take good care of yourself.  Pamper yourself and get lots of rest.  I am looking our the window of my office and watching the sun leap through redwood trees.  I wish I could lasso some of that warm healing energy and send it your way.....but I will send you a warm gentle ((((((((((((((((((((hug)))))))))))))))))))).   Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks, oreo. I will survive this, it's just frustration how quickly this stuff will hit us.
Take it minute by minute, second by second.....

Hi Joy,

We have all been in your shoes, and you are right, you just have to take it minute by minute.  My problem is that sometimes I have a more difficult time with the emotional part.  It's almost like I can find ways to deal with the physical part of a flare, but the emotional part is what really gets to me.  Do you experience that?   I do hope that you are feeling better today!

Love,
Laura

I do feel frustrated from being sick all the time. My therapist says I need to focus on the moments of good and try to feel better.

Joy:

Sorry that you're in a bad flare up. I'm hoping that Sunday was a better day for you. It can be very hard coping with this darn disease. You're up and down so much of the time. I know in the beginning my periods between a flare were pretty long.

I'd have a flare and be sick for a good while but then have several months before another flare. As you know, I live in a constant flare now. I really had to find myself a therapist so that I can just unload weekly about things. I think it's great that you're seeing someone too, it will help more and more the longer you go.

Try to keep the stress levels low and rest as much as you can. This nasty flare will leave you soon. You hang in there and know that we all have been where you are now. We're hear to listen and encourage you along. You'll be in my prayers and if I can help in anyway let me know.

Hugs,
Barbara

My ears are better today. Even the tinitus is softer. My ENT told me that the tinitus was replacing my hearing loss.
I wonder if it's the lupus taking that too?

Anyway, today is issues with my lower back, ankles, and heels. I feel like I sprung my ankle again, but both? Oh, well.. between my lupus and my fibro my body is always full of surprises.
