My best pain buddy in the world, thanks for thinking of me. I'm going to guess that you were up the other night because you were hurting. (((((gentle hugs)))))) to you, I hate it when I read that you've had a severe pain day.
Unless, a person lives with CP all the time, they do not understand what it does to us. I know I emailed you the photos of my radiation burns on my thumbs. Well, I sent them to my PCM, LOL she replied, "Barbara, your thumbs look so very painful, sorry!". I was thinking gosh doc nothing like stating the obvious.
I drove for the first time since the skin peeled off them. I only went about 4 miles from home. I plan to stick to that as IF I bump them, it makes me cry, that's not a good thing to do while trying to drive a car.
My radiation oncologist prescribed me a cream with silver and a sulphate antibiotic in it to put on all the areas that are bright red. I do that twice a day until I no longer have these really bright red areas. It's a cream meant for 2nd and 3rd degree burns. The only problem is it itches like crazy the first 3 hrs or so.
My pain levels are still very high in my thumbs, feet, back, and lungs. I'm struggling a lot just don't know how or understand why I keep fighting on. Feeling very weary these days, I know it's the pain talking but still............ well you know.
Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for supporting me and being there for me. W/O you and the folks here at HW I sometimes don't think I could pull thru a difficult time.
Hope you have a good night and low pain levels. Will talk with you soon and as always I'm here for you whenever you need me. Your friend in pain.
