So, I recently went to see my GI doctor to get my Lymphatic Colitis under control when he verified a positive ANA test of 1:320 that came back. I was immediately annoyed at the thought of having to go to yet another specialist to get my results for more testing. I just found out about this Lymphatic Colitis and that I'm Gluten sensitive now this. We'll I'm waiting to go and see a Rheumatologist on the 30th, but in the mean time I also saw my GP. He then gave me another blood result of a high ANA of 1:160. I guess I'm confused.

Does (2) positive tests indicate an Autoimmune disorder. My GP was suggesting strongly that I have an autoimmune disorder but was unsure which one. Below is a listing of my symptoms. If anyone could just advise or even help out with what you think it relates to would be greatly appreciated. I'm a little antsy.

One more thing, the ANA test was significantly lower then the first checked, is this good news?

Headaches
Dry eyes (burning, irritated)
Stomach Pains (not my gallbladder, already had it checked)
Tired (all the time)

Any replies would help, thank you!

ANA counts are reported in titers, so they go 1:20, 1:40, 1:80, 1:160, 1:320, 1:640, etc. So 1:320 is just one off of 1:160, not 160 off as you might think - not really a significant difference.

The pattern of ANA is helpful in determining what, if any, auto-immune disease you might have. Nuclear, speckled, etc. Also the symptoms help in the diagnosis - most of the symptoms overlap, so a rhuematologist is the best Dr to help you get to the bottom of things.

You can read more about the patterns and what they mean, and the list of Lupus symptoms, by following the links in my signature.

Thing is, I only have like 3 out of the 10 or 11 symptoms posted at certain times. So, I'm just confused and scared about my results. I'm having weird symptoms that I don't know what to associate them with.

Memory loss (forgetfulness)
Currently on RX Vitamin D (my levels were at 7!)
Headaches (1/2 a day)
Tired (napping a lot)
Dry eyes (burning)

09/12/2013
IGA, SERUM IgA - 246
ANA IFA Titer - 1:320 Speckled
ANA IFA Screen (positive)

12/06/2013
Hep Panels - (negative)
ANA IFA Titer - 1:160 Speckled
Ferritin - 49
Ceruloplasmin - 28

Have you seen results like this associated with an Autoimmune Disease? I'm just curious. Thank you for your reply and look forward to your reply.

Speckled is usually associated with lupus.
My Vitamin D was 8 when I was tested.
When I was first diagnosed I had all five of those symptoms along with red rashes on sun exposed areas. Do you get itchy red rashes or feel extra tired after being in the sun or under fluorescent lights?

You only need to meet 4 of the 11 symptoms to have lupus.

You know, I never really gave it any notice if I got sleepy while out in sun or under fluorescent lights. I guess it's something I can watch. I am always sleepy though, always! It's kind of a nuscence. I want to do all these things in my head but when half the day is over, I'm spent. I always thought it was just lack of sleep and started working out...and that still never helped. I just want to feel normal.

No more stomach aches, no more red burning eyes, no more tired days or nights, no more headaches, no more aching! I just want to wake up pain free and feel normal. Man, I'd give anything.

Me too, me too. To be healthy again is wish of mine too.
I buy my special sun protective clothing at coolibar.com. I have several shirts I wear under thin tops, tunics, jackets, gloves, and hats from them. They all have special sunscreen made into the fabric. Along with sunscreen on my face I'm throughly protected from the sun long enough to run a few errands.
I have several fashionable hats I can wear for any occasion. My favorite is my bucket hat. :-)
