I'm sorry to start another thread, but I really need my vent to be heard. First let me say that I've already thought this fall thru and know how I could have prevented this one. I was just sitting on the floor setting out my monthly meds and I had to take a nature break. I grabbed the coffee table and when I stood, I fell, spilling lots of meds. I once again realized that the worst part of falling isn't the bruises (although 5 cracked ribs was bad) the worst part is this instant pang of depression. I shake my head in despair and say, I HATE LUPUS.

Hi Donna,

I can totally relate to your feeling about hating Lupus. During my last week of school before the Christmas break the student energy was over the top. I came home at the end of that week totally exhausted, fatigued and achy. When I got home my husband wanted to go back out, have dinner somewhere and take a long walk. Needless to say, I burst into tears and said the same words you did "I hate Lupus!!" I can't tell you the number of times when I feel miserable or my memory lapses are more stout than usual that I get depressed and down in the dumps. Those are the moments when I say "I want my old life back!" I realize in my heart that it won't come back and I choose instead to reach out to friends and my new friends in this wonderful forum. Hang in there!!! I am sending you a gentle, loving (((((((((((((((hug)))))))))))))))).

Love,
Laura

Falling sucks. Hope you didn't break anything this time. Broken ribs also suck.

Did I understand that you broke your ribs this time? Ouch!

I'm always staggering around and mis-stepping. Fortunately I've caught myself on something most times. But sure hate it when it get my feet all twisted up.
Feel better.

I am sorry to hear you fell, I'm not even diagnosed with the stupid disease yet and I can already agree that it sucks! I hope you recover quickly!

Laura, you made me feel so much better that I think you voiced my thoughts better than I did myself. You're so good with words and understood completely. I honestly don't know how you keep working, but I'm sure those kids are grateful even if they never say they are. (((hugs back at ya)))

Lynnwood, Jamie, and Joy thank you for the well wishes. I appreciate them as well. All of you are great! Love, Donna
