Lupus has decided to play in my shoulder. smhair
I went to the doctor with my shoulder hurting over a month. After examining it he said I've done something to my rotator cup. I told him I hadn't done anything to it, that it just suddenly starting hurting one day. nono

Now I'm on pain killer, heat, and stretching exercises.

I also mentioned my strange rash on my face along my hairline. I'd tried several different shampoos to see if it was allergy related. It wouldn't stop or go away. He gave me some steroid cream. It didn't seem to help either.

Then my mother mentioned the sun shines on my face every morning through my window. So I purchase a blackout curtain.... yeah my rash is fading! yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah

Hi Joy,

Shoulder pain can be painful and annoying. I have found that gentle exercises really do help. A few years ago my husband was dealing with a very irritated shoulder and he saw a physical therapist who taught him a series of wonderful exercises to do. He is religious about doing them and seems to have little to no problems with that shoulder any more. I even do them to help strengthen that part of my anatomy. Nice call on your mom's part about the sun shining through your window!!

Hey Joy:

I'm sorry to hear that your shoulder is bothering you. Having a injured rotator cuff can be so painful I understand. I've never injured my shoulder that way but I feel for you. I hope that your exercises help and that your shoulder begins to start feeling better really soon.

I'm glad that your Mom caught the sun light on your forehead. I'm also glad to hear that the rash is getting better since getting the black out curtain.

If your shoulder continues to bother you, I'd request an appointment with the Orthopedic Dr to make sure it's not torn. Please take care and get plenty of rest, I'll be sending you tons of prayers, and positive energy your way. Hang in there Joy, we're pulling for you.

Hugs,
Barbara

Hey Couchtater, did the doctor recommend heat or ice? I find my electric heating pad is my best friend, also warm baths. I'm thinking heat maybe doesn't help inflammation but I don't care because it takes the pain away ;)

edit - Oh, I just saw that he did recommend heat hahaha. Brain fog! If you don't have a heating pad it is a wonderful and minimal investment. I have 2 and every night I have those suckers turned on and ready. My kids even turn them on for me when I get home from work lol!

Thanks, guys....
If it gets any worse I will see a specialist.
I have two heating pads and a spa wrap to baby it. Not to mention heat rub.
