After a very stressful evening last night, I was expecting my son to have a flare, but I wasn't expecting him to wake up with the complaint of not being able to lift his arms. No pain, no numbness, no injury just not able to lift his arms. At first his grip strength was almost nothing, but by the end of the morning it was pretty strong again...but still not able to lift his arms. Rheumy on call prescribed steroids.

I have never heard of this happening before now, is this common? Ideas?

I've had episodes of my arms feeling so weak I couldn't move them.
Just one of those lovely flares that come out of nowhere.

I hope he feels better now.
