Have any of you tried Limbrel?
It's a prescription medical food. My rheumy gave me samples to see if it would work for me since my kidney doctor says no-no to NSAIDs.

I took it for the first time this morning and noticed my hands didn't hurt as much today. They were very sore when I first woke up.

It is bioflavonoids and zinc basically I think.

No, but it sounds like its worth researching. Glad it's helping.

Hi Joy--

I've never heard of Limbrel, but I can say that bioflavonoids are great to have in your system! They are terrific at repairing and promoting healthy body tissue/cells.

Here's an article you might enjoy reading:

Glad your fingers are better this morning!

Despite the limbrel helping my joints feel better it's not good for my tummy. I blowed up like a toady-frog in my stomach area, had horrible gas pains, diarriha, and horrible (loud) flatulations. (Eeeeek!)

It has a warning that it was a side effect. I rather put up with the joint pain. ;-)

That's the effect plaquenil has had on me! I'm happy to say it seems to be getting better now though. Is there a chance that if you tough it out that the side effects will pass?

I have enough digestive gas issues without taking it so I don't want to tough it out.

Can't say I blame you then Joy. It's unfortunate that you can't take it to help you. Even natural anti inflammatory supplements can be very upsetting to the stomach. Such is the case with turmeric.

How are you with ginger? It would help if your tummy is ok with it. Also pineapple contains bromelain which helps inflammation. Papaya is very good for your stomach as is chamomile tea.

Plaquenil, celebrex, advair, flovent, dovobet, vitamin A,B,C,D,E fghijklmnop ;)

I love pineapple! So it's an anti-inflamatory?
I've got to go get some then. :-D
